2.  To provide an introduction to Transducers and Sensors used in Industrial Applications.
 
3.  Brief Description of ROBOTICS with special reference to Industrial Processes.
 
4.  DC motor Drives, AC motor Drives and Stepper motor Drives used in Industry.

PREREQUISITES BY TOPIC
 

Power Electronic Conversion Principles, Control of Stepper & Servo Motors, Digital Electronics, PolyPhase AC Circuits, Electrical Machines, Co-ordinate systems, Electronic Instrumentation.
